Photographer’s Note

do you believe me if I say that 15 minutes before it was dark and rainy ?
is the weither in Denmark always like what i saw last summer ? i don't realy know... changing so quickly !!!
the this the old town of Ribe... with old houses, built centuries ago... and it was a very good moment to visit... there was a jazz festival, cool music everywhere in interior courts

me croyez-vous si je vous dis que 15 minutes avant il pleuvait et il faisait sombre ?
je ne sais pas si c'est typique du Danemark mais cet été le temps y était très changeant,
ici, c'est le centre de Ribe, des maisons multi séculaire se font face à l'entrée de cette rue, il y avait de la musique aussi, ce week-end là il y avait un festival de jazz... agréable...

Oh yeah, I believe you immediately! :-) A very nice view of Ribe, that I visited many years ago. It looks like a real Danish shopping street with nice houses and facades! You captured it from a good angle. The weather conditions were now very pleasing here. Well done!

This city looks like a true touristic attraction - the street is full with visitors, and the old houses are in very good condition. Realistic and vivid colours, and perfect sharpness!

Your composition is great here using the row of buildings to create a diagonal through the photo. The people sitting at the tables and moving around the street create many nice points of interest and motion. The eye is led through the photo by the street and line of buildings giving the photo nice direction. The areas of sun and shadow create nice contrast throughout the shot. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and DOF.

Te revoilà enfin!Je veux bien croire qu'il pleuvait 15 mn avant,car la luminosité est superbe!C'est une photo pleine de gaieté avec cette belle rue aux splendides maisons,ces toits rouges qui donnent de belles couleurs,l'animation ,le magnifique ciel bleu.t si,en plus,il y avait de la musique...!Ca devait être agréable de flaner par ici!

Bonjour, mon ami Jonathan,
L'ambiance est tout à fait perceptible à travers cette prise de vue. La pluie s'en est allée pour laisser place à une très belle éclaircie valorisant ainsi ces vieilles maisons au charme indéniable.
Une voie laissée aux piétons, un pur régal.
Très bonne prise de vue.

Salut Jonathan,
c'est difficile à croire mais la météo est tellemnt imprévisible avec le réchauffement de la planète que je te crois que 15 minutes avant il pleuvait. Heureusement c'est vite fini et tu as réussi a faire une belle photo avec une très bonne lumière. Il y a beaucoup de personne et moi je n'aime pas trops car je trouve trops charger en détaille. Mais je reconnais que c'est un bbon cliché

Je ne sais pas si la pluie donne plus d'éclat après son passage, mais sur ta composition couleurs et contrastes sont remarquables.

Bonjour Jonathan,
Le climat du Danemark n'est pas comme à la montagne, mais presque. La pluie est à peine finie et les passants sont prompts à s'asseoir en terrasse. J'aime bien la vue de cette rue animée. La réalisation est très bonnes, netteté et couleurs sont parfaites. Bravo.

J'espère que l'humeur des Danois n'est pas aussi changeant que le temps, en tout cas ce n'est pas ce que j'ai senti en traversant ce pays!!
Une rue fort sympathique, ma foi, sous ce ciel bleu, une lumière bien gérée.
Du beau boulot, j'aime bien aussi l'ambiance du WS qui aurait mérité un post à lui seul.

L'Important c'est de profiter des eclaircies de lumiere pure comme celle-là,belle scene animée dans cette rue aux maisons anciennes,

You really got around when you where in DK, Aarhus, copenhagen and Ribe. How long did you stay?
I've passed through Ribe many times, but never actually went for a walk there. The jazz festival is quite famous though.
As for the weather, seems like you caught a piece of the famous danish summer, always able to change in a few minutes:)
Interesting pedestrian street, reminds me of the one in Ebeltoft, I really have to pass by one day, maybe at the next jazz festival.......
