Photographer’s Note
Mania
My life has been change fore ever, what stared as a mania, was a signal of stress a flight from the real world, away from noise – telephone – mail etcetera.
Now the Day of 'Judgement, I’ll never be able to come back to labour market.
I do have decided to help people in that way, I am standing forward in a movie to show and tell what stress can do, it is a real education movie, with real people. Same time as the movie is a book coming, I tell how it all started, and other tings about PDSD.
I have chosen this picture, to show my mania, then I do thing it is one of my better photo, and it show a part of my life with dark hanging clouds, and my seeking fore the light.
Regardless how bad life can be, there is always a light at the end of the end of the tunnel, keep moving and work had, you need to se if there is a better life on the other side.
I have been on the edge and to day not healthy, but I am a happy man working on living with my condition. The film and book are coming out in October, sorry only in Denmark and Danish, but I would like your opinion of the picture, now you have the story.
In advance, THANK YOU
Regards Kaj Nielsen

Well done Kaj! The simplicity of this photo makes it perfect. Everything is in 1/3s here, which works well. And what a sky! Cheers,
Mike

Hello Kaj,

A fine image to present your comming book and movie - light in the horizon.
Good luck
Jeppe

Hej Kaj...
Et vidunderligt billede med så meget følelse og atmosfære, at det er vanskeligt at bære...
Lyset og mørket, smerten og håbet...
Det er der det hele...
En perfekt intro til din kommende bog og film...
Tak... Ina...

Hello Kaj. The picture is phenomenal, the elements of sky, water and light masterfully caught to capture the mood of hope and a brighter tomorrow. But there is glory in grasping the here and now, as you have done, and coming up with an answer- a beautiful one, despite or is it because of the pain. By the way, have you thought of living in sunnier climes Kaj? They say open skies and longer hours of light produce wonders on the human spirit. All the best, Klaudio

Hi Kaj
A very personal note - in that sense a continuation of your home page with information of your background the late years. And interesting to learn about the film and the book.
Good luck - your photos for sure display some inner thoughts and personal dedication - the total anti stressed environments you chooose to photograph not only display beatiful landscapes but as much the real you - how else could this be your choice of motifs time after time.
Based on this; your inner turbulence must be in good development..
I think one of these days we should meet up for a beer and a talk - and of course a little photo session - at your place or mine (the mountain place..). If you like the idea let me hear from you and we will find a time and a place..
The best thing about TE is when we leave cyberspace and enter the real world of people sharing a common interest.. and meeting up face to face

Kaj, I have read with great interest your notes and looked at your web pages, at least those in English! This photo shows brooding melancholy and threatening clouds, but also a calm stretch of water and a fixed point, a sole boat waiting for the sailor, the breeze and a bright day. It is a magnificent picture. The thin strip of evening light almost, almost but not quite, suggests the light coming for the next morning. Great photo, and thanks for your frank notes. All the best, and perhaps we will hear and see more of the book and film, even if we don't speak Danish.
Regards,
Andrew

Hi Kaj.
A very sentimental photo, showing that even in the eternity of sea, there are few special places a man can go to. You just have to follow the light. Wonderful picture, full of emotion.
I wish you all the best, Aleks

Hello Kaj, Thanks for the story and the picture. There is always light at the end of a tunnel. Watching your magnificent pictures, I believe that one of the lights at the end of your tunnel is for you your pictures, and you are really good at it.
Isn't it right away a reason for optimism ?
Keep well and keep smiling at the World, which you manage to picture so well.
Cheers, Michael
