Photographer's Note
Every town with self-respect must have a Christmas tree on the Town Square and Copenhagen no exception. In the background shows the walls to the Tivoli garden.
I would have expected the Salvation Army standing at the tree, singing carols, but instead there was musicians from South America – I guessed Peruvian but Jurgen said they properly came from Ecuador.

Another nice one from the Tivoli area, Jeppe. The illuminated Christmas tree takes appropriate (off-)center stage, and the busy streetlife as well as the neon signs in the back are well rendered by the exposure. Good choice for the hunt.

I like the way you got the word Tivoli in and the word Dansk - no doubt as to where in the world this is. A very good night shot Jeppe. You are practicing for the dark period I take it.

Very cosy picture with a wonderful Christmas-atmosphere.
You managed very well to get the all the lights on the picture. They are really so sharp!
But don't you think that there would be more focus on both the people and the lights if you cropped a little bit on the left?
I'll post a workshop to show what I mean. I hope you'll appreciate it.

This makes me want to go out and take a few night shots too. Its Christmas time out here in Japan too and although they dont celebrate Christmas, they sure know how to commercialise it.
Nicely done.

Hi Jeppe, a good night shot that manages to have both the tree and the Tivoli entrance sharp, well done, just some bad luck with the head. If you don't mind I add it to my theme.

What a 'hyggeligt' picture! Thank you for showing me a little bit dansk jul :)
This Christmas Tree is much more beautiful than the one on the Dam Square in Amsterdam. The whole country is laughing about that ridiculous caricature of a Christmas tree. :D This one in Copenhagen looks really nice!

Merry Christmas, Jeppe! Now I know how Christmas is like in Copenhagen. Your putting me in a mood for x'mas vacation. Nice lights here, and the presence of many people give you that feeling of a big festival or celebration going on (or coming soon). Thanks for sharing! rgds.
