en allant à une fête annuelle célébrant la mémoire des vikings, il y avait cette barque qui doit être toujours là car il me semble l'avoir déjà vue sur TE.
j'ai hésité à publier un format carré que je mets en WS, au dernier moment j'ai décidé de publier celle-ci...

while going to an annual festival celebrating the memory of the Vikings, there was this boat which must be always there because it seems to me to have already seen it on TE.
I hesitated to publish a square format that I put in WS, at the last time I decided to publish this one...

This is a nice shot. I like this one better than the WS because of the vertical framing giving us more depth. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and detail. The reflection of the boat adds nice depth and calmness to the photo.

Cette barque sous cet arbre est au centre d'une belle composition. les reflets sont agréables. Lumiére et couleurs sont douces. Belle réalisation.

Perso, je préfère le format carré, je trouve que le fait de resserer la vue sur la barque et les personnages "raconte" une histoire, plus que le plan large.
Cela écrit, pas de problème particulier sur ton post, c'est une image plaisante où tu as bien géré l'expo.

I also prefer the orginal one, It gives more a mood of been hide behind the boat looking out through the landscape. It's also good to using the boys to give the picture more life.

Don’t tell anyone but I have this personal rule saying one main subject is plenty, two can be accepted if they are related!

Including the tree you have three here, so I will crop the tree leaving the boat and the boys, supposing they just returned from fishing! Have a look at the workshop…

One more nit, the kid behind the bushes is a bit distracting!

Did I forget to say? It is a good image!

Très beau cliché. Les couleurs sont magnifiques et les reflets somptueux.
J'ai peut-être une petite préférence pour le format carré car cela recentre la composition sur la barque dans le cas ou on souhaite qu'elle en soit le sujet principal. En tout cas, superbe.

Un beau point de vue sur une scène bucolique. Je pense que je préfère ton format carré car il met beaucoup plus en valeur le beau reflet de la barque. De plus, il limite l'étendue du ciel qui est in peu blanchatre.

Hello Jo,

The composition and exposure in this photograph are exquisite. I looked at the square (carper) version. I believe this one is superior, avoiding placing the horizon line lower in the frame. The colors and resolution are very good, as are the perspective and composition.

J'aime bien celle ci et la manière de présenter la barque, un peu comme sugissant au détour d'un marigot. Il y a de la poesie là dedans, et pour les gamins un petit bout de Huckleberry "Huck" Finn (Mark Twain).
Bien fait comme image en qualité et en cadrage;

the decision is very much based on the amount of pixels here (for me). The square version tells me more of this beautiful moment. Very lovely scene with the reflection and those three young vikings.

Lovely composition. I really like it when I find a small boat in a lovely scene. Good POV. I don't normally like people in my pics, but these kids work here o.k. All except the one in the back. Might be better to clone him out and just have the 2 on the left, unless you have another image without that person. Good job, well done.

En fait je préfère ton ws cadré sans le ciel car je le trouve ici légèrement surexposé et donc il attire loeil loin de la barque qui est pourtant le sujet principal. Les reflets sont jolis également

cette image est très bien composée. Le cadrage vertical marche bien et la barque semble à peine troublée par la présence des personnages.
Les contrastes sont assez bien gérés.

Trés joli composition avec cette barque qui a effectivement un style nordique et les deux personnages en arrière plan. En plus, la combinaison entre la mer en arrière-plan et la grande flaque qui reflète la barque est trés réussie.

Belle composition mais pour ma part je trouve l'arbre du haut pertubant un format plus sérré autour de la barque me parait plus intéressant.

Jo,

This is a very interesting shot. The boat itself is great, lapstrake construction and spars bundled across the thwarts. The costumes give it away as contemporary but the sene could easily be a scouting party looking for fresh water or other necessities of the long boats.

Your shot is really made up of some nice elements, the boat of course bu light and dark, the reflection in the inlet and even the sky has nice color and detal. I think that the ws with the frame would be my choice of the three but they are all excellent.

Je pense que je préfère la version carrée, pour moi le plus important dans cette photo, comme ton titre l'indique, c'est la barque et sa superbe réflexion dans l'eau, ainsi que les garçons qui ont l'air pensifs... Très belle lumière aussi,

Très belle et douce ambiance dans cette photo. Très grande qualité thechnique (couleurs, contrastes, netteté, reflets) et une belle composition avec cette barque presqu'en diagonale (comme la branche de l'arbre et la langue de terre avec la végétation).
Les personnages sont un plus sympa (et qui nous permet de vérifier que les danois sont vraiment blonds!!!)

Oui je la connais bien cette barque!!!
En fait l'hiver elle doit rentrer au chaud car j'étais au DK il y a 15 jours et je ne l'ai pas vu!
