Bjerget in Spring

This is the Church on St Jorgenbjerg, (John the Baptist Mountain), above the Harbor in Roskilde.
A former a Fishing Village and before that a Lepor Colony, outside of Roskilde.
Parts of the Church are dated to 990,
and there is an example of Viking Graffiti in the Entance.
Recently adjacent to the Church, the remains of a Manor House and Burial site where excavated. |

Hello Mike,
A nice capture of this church that I guess will be even more obscured by the tree in a few weeks time. I like the point of view over the red rooftops, which make a nice contrast with the rest of the image. Pleasing soft light and colours.
I love this view of Roskilde (you really live in a great city for photography.) I think I like the walk up this hill as much as I like the Cathedral. On a technical note, it seems the tree is a bit in the way, like it is trying to cover the church rather than complimenting it. Still, this is good picture of the highlights of Roskilde.
