Den Gamle By is a museum joining together the old houses of all Denmark, the majority of the houses sheltering of the objects of time of each trade, as clock and watch maker, marshal-ferrand, blacksmith, printer...
these houses were dismounted stone by stone and joined together in the heart of Aarhus...
of the actors pass, like a teacher and its pupils, barouches pass...
and much of tourists saunter

reframed to avoid an important overexposed area

in WS a "hard contrast" B&W version

Hi Jonathan!
Really a beautiful framing on this one, using the doorway so artistically. It then leads us to a magical world of lovely architecture! Nice work! cheers,
Steve

Bonjour Jonathan ,
Denis

Very nice photo.Excellent frame vith great colours and graphism.TFS.

Bonjour Jonathan,
Amicalement

Salut Jo,
good idea to use the gate for framing and good quality on the wood and the background city scene. Maybe it would have been stronger if you placed the gate a bit of centre more to the left.

Salut jonathan

I like the repetition of the triangular patterns, embossed on the fg wooden door, which frames the bg scene nicely. Good use of the rule of thirds. Tfs! Bon Dimanche et amicalement.

Salut Jo,
JB.

Hello Jonathan,
Clever your idea to use the frame of the door to avoid from the overexpose, the whole scene.I like the traditional architectural lines of the stone houses,as the people that are ready to enter in the Museum.Well done.

Regards,Danos

Hello,,

Nicou

Hmmmm, is this a door to a new series where you allow us a peek into waht is coming next? The scene behind the door is quite promising. The light management in such moments is always quite challenging and it seems that you got some overexposure with the two persons standing at the door. Things like this requires the LCD of the camera switched to the histogram so that you can correct it right away at the place with another shot and with different settings.
Peter

Hi Jo,

interesting picture, I like the door as a frame, good idea,

Regards

Sergio

Bonjour Jean-Christophe,
Amicalement, Christian
