Hi Kate,
this is exactly the atmosphere of a late summer at the Danish Baltic Sea. There is really such a rich atmosphere due to the many different green and brown colours before winter takes over. Excellent capture!

I agree with your ideas also it is a benefit to come up with a variety of seaside photos. I like this one mostly because there is a contradiction, it s sunny but at the same time cloudy.

Nice sunset-scenery with some threatening clouds; good pov, lightmanagement and colours.
Bruno's b&w-version works also well; but then what's your taste/preference.

Seascapes always cath the eye. Your capture is full of romantic beauty - for the abandoned beach, for the excellently exposed clouds and for the "hushed" coloring.

A secluded beach, under the cloudy sky. The light filtering through the clouds light up the rocks on the left very sweetly. It's this light which makes this so very beautiful! Well done
