What a place for a church
The Faroe Islands is populated by 50.000 people spread on 18 islands.
In Saksun I could see 2-3 farms and then of course this little old stone church. Simply suberb in this grand nature.
From medival times telling a story of simple people with a strong belonging to the christian values.
Incredible - another memory from these very special islands in the middle of the North Atlantic Ocean...

Hello Jack,
The white church, although tiny, has a large presence in this beautiful, but claustrophobic, landscape with its dark enfolding hills.
Lovely rich, velvety greens and browns and a well chosen POV using the stream as foreground.
Marvellously moody!
Best wishes....Maggie

hej Jack
I just saw the thumb and read Denmark and thought well.. himmelshøj have been growing since last.
The Photo; Withe churches looks just marvelous against those moss colored slopes and those small creeks that gives it an even more pastoral but melancholic mood.

Hello Jack,

Effectivement !

A+

Hi Jack
Good evening for you

Hello Jack

j'aime beaucoup!!
Amicalement

Bonjour Jack,
j'aime beaucoup cet endroit.
Regards.
Daniel.
