Hello Jack,
When I think of North Atlantic, I think of storms, and this image seems to give a good representation of that image in my mind. The light blue of the foreground water provides some simple interest up front, and the distant storm on the horizon draws the eye through the photo. I also like the way you have used the rocky shoreline, and cliff on the left, as framing, whilst it also gives depth to the photo. Nicely done.

Hi Jack
generally pictures are taken with a bright sunshine; you have taken the opposite position, and have gone out in a rainy/windy day. The result is superb with the rocks on both sides of the picture preventing to escape, and so the look stays on the rough sea and the faraway island under a rain fall.
***** and I select it as one of my favorites.

Une vue tourmentée de ce bord de mer ! Les nuages donnent un aspect menaçant à la scène.
Tu as bien fait de donner un cadrage panoramique à cette image.
J'aime bien la touche de couleur bleue au premier plan.

Hei Jack,

I did not realise that you were back again and had already posted five pictures from Faroe Islands. I like this one very much and I think it is very representative for the Island. Often rainy and windy weather but the dramatic weather also means the the colours are very nice. The turquoise water near the cliffs looks great here and I also like your inclusion of some green grass. TFS and have a nice Sunday!
