Photographer’s Note
Jagala waterfall is one of the most outstanding Estonian nature monuments: 8.1 meters high and 60-70 meters wide. The waterfall has created some 300 m long canyon with 12 - 14 m high rims.
The waterfall froms two strong whirlpools at each edge. Whirlpool at the right shore is stronger - reportedly there is 6 m deep pit.
Jagala river is not that deep here, but its stream is powerful enough to bring away a horse.
This picture is taken in the begining of May when "high water" season is over, but still there were enough water to see it in action. I have seen winter shots of this waterfall, in sunshine it looks amazing - frozen pillars of different sizes and shapes with various colours of ice from blue to white and yellow. So I recommend to spend time to see this nature object, partucularly if You are by car close to Tallin. More precise location info: 25-30km east from Tallin, Harjumaa area, Jõelähtme municipality, in Jägala-Joa village to the north from Tallinn - Narva main road (approximate location on map there: http://members.virtualtourist.com/vt/gm/413966). The best time for visit could be a spring, when river is full of water. In dry season it does not look impressive.

Hello Jurijs,
A very good shot of this impressive waterfall with its multi-coloured 'stripes' of water. A good pov and good use of exposure to give the water movement. Nice colours and good definition.
