Photographer’s Note
Estonia's fourth largest island, Vormsi, is located between Hiiumaa and the mainland with a total area of 92 square kilometers. It is part of a rural municipality with the same name in Lääne County.
Vormsi's history as an inhabited island dates back as far as the 13th century. During most of its history,t he island has been inhabited by Estonian Swedes ("rannarootslased" in Estonian or "coastal Swedes" in English), whose population reached 3,000 before World War II. During the war, nearly all of Vormsi's population, along with other Swedes living in Estonia, were evacuated to Sweden. The island's current population is approximately 350 inhabitants.
The Island of Vormsi with its juniper fields, seaside meadows, erratic boulders and lighthouses is best toured on a bicycle or on foot. The gravezard of Vormsi church (1632) is famous for numerous ancient circular crosses.

Hi, friend!
Beautiful view from Estonia, I think only so dark and so many contrast / sky /? Interesting lake and red houses.

Hi George,
Beautiful late summer colours!
A no nonsense composition, good contrast as the red houses really stand out in the green and blue...
Typical fluffy summer clouds are present, as spice on a great blue sky!
Greetings,
Pablo -

A nice and quiet landscape, with really beautifull colors. I like the red paint of the wooden houses, something very lively in this blue and green symphony.
All the best,
Emmanuel

Hello George.
Very nice simple composition. I really like the mood of a nice late summer day. Sometimes, I think, we try too hard to create interest by intricate composition; when really the most enjoyable scene just needs to be captured. You have done very well in this respect. The low stone (dam?) across the water adds just the neede touch of contrast to the foreground. Well done friend. See you in a few days, out of town for a while.
Regards,
Chris

Hi George, The composition and note are great. I don't know about the title. I can see the red houses but it so small compared with all this landscape.
I will wait for the photo of the Vormsi church that I think you shot.
Good colors and depth, the clouds are so pretty.
thanks

Nice mood in this rural landscape. Excellent note.
The horizon line is close to being center, and since I really like the expanse of the sky, you might have cropped a bit off the bottom just up to the rock on the left. Check WS. Actually, I am amazed that you can cram so much sharpness and fine detail into such a small file size!
Cheers
