Photographer’s Note

This picture was taken in Soomaa National Park in Estonia. Soomaa means land of bogs, which is quite right. To get to this spot, you have to do the famous 'board-walk', a few km long route over small wooden boards which 'float' on the bogs.

To me, this was quite amazing, the first part of the board-walk runs trough a forest and suddenly you have arrived at a huge area which I can describe best as a green and wet version of the Australian outback, empty, only a few trees and loads of small bushes. Definatly worth a visit!

Hello Wichard,
I like the composition very much - the sky above, the water below, both tranquil, and only a narrow stripe of land in between. Quite meditative.
