Toompea Street Scene
 |
|
| [Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe |
If I read the map correctly, this is Toomrüütli, one of the many small streets that wind through Toompea, the upper section of Tallinn's Old Town. The tall spire in the background belongs to Dom Church, formally known as the Cathedral of St. Mary the Virgin, a 13th-century building that is the main Lutheran church in Estonia.
The couple in the photo are from Edmonton, Alberta, and they told me they were enjoying their "warm" stay in Tallinn. |

Daniel,
a very difficult shot with a real challenge in how to manage the light. The sky has a lot of translucity, part of the upper portion of the white walls are refelcting a huge portion of light and finally the dark alleys in the bottom. I'm not quite sure how you managed to balance that so well! Really, that is extremely well done! I just miss the tip of the tower to make it a perfect shot.
Peter
Dear Dan.
Nice clear colours, perfect northern lights. Idyllic quaint corner of the city. Many thanks for sharing. Jalab
