Photographer's Note

Another night shot during the crazy blizzard trip to Tallin. The lot of us were heading into Olde Hansa, the terrific medieval restaurant in the town center, and I saw this old lady shoveling ice and snow. I never once saw her stand straight up--her hunch seemed entirely ingrained into her being.

The most striking thing was to see so many young people walk past her without a turned head, no one offering a hand so she stretch for a second. Of course, I include myself in that throng of the disconnected, but at least she's immortal now...
