Photographer’s Note

Had my camera and tripod with we because it looked as there would be a beautiful sunset today.

Today it was also the first morning we had temperature below zero (C) this autumn which has been quite warm sofar.

Taken from my favourite sunset spot ten minutes after the sunset. The place is where the river Pielisjoki which flows through the town reaches lake Pyhäselkä.

The row of pillars is probably a remnant from timber rafting. There was a kind of fence that directed the timder to right direction.

Direct save from RAW. Sharpening after change to web resolution.

Hope you like can feel the atmosphere we had here today.

Just great looking sky colours, repeated on almost still lake. Silhouettes of those obects, whatever they are, add interest to simple scene.

This is a great shot of sunset;the red and golden tones,the reflections of this tones,the vanishing point marked by the black structure over the water..,and also the sharpness, which allow us reach the horizont.Congratulations.
