Fouga Magister was a 1950's French two-seat jet trainer, and the world's first purpose-built two-seat turbojet-powered trainer aircraft.

In Finnish Air Force Fouga was used as a jet trainer between 1958-1988. Most of the Fougas in Finland were manufactured by licence in Finland by Valmet.

This Fouga Magister is nowadays privately owned. Her visit to air show at the airport of Joensuu showed more graceful glides rather than expression of ultimate power.

Hi Kari,
Great shot once more with spectacular and impressive composition. Timing is excellent and the quality too. Splendid premiére, Congratulations. Have a nice day
George

Perfectly frozen in the air, well done Kari, the image seems like a digital alteration, and then I find it beautiful and interesting after your good note, compliments.
Ciao
Vinicio

Interesting to see the Fouga Magister with the Finnish colors (although the B&W does not really show the pale blue of them). The typical "V" shaped tail is perfectly visible.

All the best,

Emmanuel

Hello Kari,

Awesome action shot with the trainer well placed in this dual colour image. The view is well composed with excellent exposure and sharpness. You did well capturing this plane in midair. Thanks Kari.

Roberto

This is a perfect action shot. With the right timing capture this scene. Well done.
Best wishes,
Achim

Kari,
you definitively have the most interesting collection of boats, trains and airplanes at TE. Not only modern but also quite old stuff, almost relics. I like a lot this tight frame and the choice of B&W with a touch of sepia. It goes well along with the felling of an old plane. Impressive low with the ground there providing the feeling of gliding, although the heat coming from the back shows clearly that the powerful engine is on and pushing.

Hello Kari! I hope you have survived the floods in Ticino and did not float away :) But no news is good news as we have the saying ... and I hope your plane found the way back home to Finland (Lufthansa respectively their cheaper carriers are on strike but I remember you had another airline).

I like this one, Kari, it is really cool with the low pass and that you can see the heat coming out giving a further exciting element to this photo. The b/w is very well chosen adding a special mood of something that has been, and with the antique aircraft this is the perfect choice. Very good indeed!

We really enjoyed having you over and our little adventerous ride in the box and despite the bad weather we did really well and even some of the pictures came out very nice ... against all odds. I will certainly show one or two but I am always pretty slow and I first promissed some red land (Utah ...). Enjoy the rest of your vacation ... the sun shines in Zurich but the wind is strong. Barbara.
