Photographer’s Note

Still another shot from Fiskarsinmäki hill, which I showed you about 1 week ago here. You can read about the hill in the note of that photo. I mentioned about the boulders on top of the hill. This shot is from the very top looking southwards. With good imagination you can see small glimpses of sea, i.e. Espoo Bay in the distance. :-)
Also this photo is from the same hill, from its northern slope.

Hei Lasse,
Forms of those mossy boulders show well on this low angle light. Nice to see that narrow path also on sunshine. Must be quite shady when leaves are fully grown, so this was optimal time for the shot.

Again a wonderful atmosphere, especially caused by this wonderful backlight which "sculptures" these boulders in a special way. This path through these relics of the Ice Age - I think - really looks inviting. A great place ...

Hej Lasse,
The brilliant light is what makes this picture special. The light, and the way it falls on the mossy boulders. It's a very ordinary Northern forest, but a good photographer can find beauty in the most ordinary places.

looks like this area is a real paradise for nature-lovers! I am very much impressed by the colours and the game of light (sunshine) and shadows on the ground and the mossy boulders. Very pleasant view which I like even more than the previous shot which you took in the same area. The narrow path leads us away... into a fairy-tale?

there's certain lightness over this spring forest trail, as the trees still have get a proper summer dress and the thick summer green is not that dominating as it probably would be just in a few weeks time.

Hi Lasse,
A lovely bucolic view of early Spring (it wouldn't be early down here :-).
I don't find easy to get so tidy compos in these environments, you did a wonderful job using the musk covered boulder and the still naked trees. The light is also beautiful and well managed.
