Fire station of Tampere in autumn light.

This classic building was built in 1907. It was designed by Wivi Lönn, a remarkable female architect. Fire station is still used for it's original purpose.

Hello Kari,

You chose a nice vertical frame, this gives a very well cityscape.
The leaves and tower are the real eye catchers.
You play excellent with light and shadows.

Kari,
The vertical format works well here allowing us to see the height of the tower while allowing close up detail. The overhanging trees frame the shot nicely as well as adding those autumn colors. The lighting is fine and the photo is nice and sharp.

Hej Kari,
Very interesting architecture, a very impressive fire station. I like the green roofs here against the blue sky and the autumnal rust red trees. The little traffic sign to the right also provide a certain accent!

Hi Kari,
the great thing about European countries, everything is very uniquely different. Here in the U.S. Everything kind of look the same every where you go. All fire station looks simple and all looks alike in a way. Just like restarant of the same chain look alike and shopping malls too.
Anywhere, as simple as a fire station, it looks like a nice place to visit. Beautiful colors of the falling leaves, scatter all over the ground. Beautiful warm light and a lovely POV looking through the tree branches. Thanks Kari.

Hi Kari,
My son is a fireman, I've been to his station and I can tell you he'd be delighted to have such luxurious amenities. You guys sure do look after your firemen.
Lovely light, the long shadows look very pretty.
Also good perspective, you've presented this building expertly.
No way I'm going to share this photograph with Sam, he'd be very jealous.
