Frosty birch branches on a crisp cold winter day. Trees near Tammerkoski rapid often gather frost when moisture rises from never freezing water.

Almost directly upwards shot at 18 mm.

I like this very much. White naked tree branches against clear blue sky. very graphical but also very "fleshly". I would have cloned those small dots of white in the sky. Is it snow?

Hi Kari
beatiful these white trees...it's a very good contrast with blue sky, well done!

Hello Kari,
Beautiful capture of the trees covered in "glass". I really missed a winter scene like this but I always suffer in the cold temperature of winter. Nice blue sky with a little falling snow to provide a subtle contrast. Happy New Year to you.

Kind Regards,
Latiff.

Hi Kari,
The delicate detail of the frosty branches against the stunning sky is wonderful. I'm enjoying frosty branches but I have no blue sky!!
HLJ, Pat

Aah beautiful, I like the use of the angled light to bring out the ice covered branches, I was going to ask about the white spots but the discussion answers it, yes, ther's no reason to erase them, as they're natural.

Hei,
Hyvin mietitty sommittelu! Nuo puusta lentävät jäähileet näyttävät myös hyvältä. Toivottavasti saataisiin tämänkaltaisia huurrekelejä tänäkin talvena.
Terveisin,

Hi Kari.

Excellent picture. How you caught that icy branches is great...my compliments!!!

Did you get lost? Arggggggg...what a pity. Anyway, I hope had (as I did) a funny Te-meeting!

Rgs, Oscar

Hi Kari
Frosted trees bashing in sunshine always look great. It gives them a shiny look.

Phantastic contrast, these trees loaded with ice cristals and that intense blue sky! Super!
Greetings from snow covered Luxemburg, John.

Wow, Kari, that is beautiful.
So delicate looking and so beautifully contrasted against the dark limbs and that wonderful blue sky. It looks like little figures I have seen made from glass and the light hitting it makes it gleam. What a lovely catch. Many thanks and kind regards,
Shelly
