Hello Kari.
A very pleasing summer scene, quite luminous in the light which you have captured so well. The composition is 'classically' proportioned, and you have very good foreground interest including a very nice reflection. A wonderful shot that suggests silence and space. Great work.

Very nice and tranquil, Kari, typical Finland, the boat is priceless with the soft light... This looks like Vuoksa lakes just ot the north of St.Petersburg where I grew up...

The sharpness and DOF is outstanding here! The lighting and colors are beautiful as well. Your composition is great showing the boat in the foreground nice framed by the reeds with the expanse of the lake behind it. The reflection adds nice depth and balance to the shot.

Kari,
I see that several people at TE living in the northern hemisphere are getting tired of the winter and starting to dream already of upcoming summer and exposing pictures of last summer. You're not an exception and with such a lovely composition and great colors I can understand your urge to present this one, although I have to say that I'm much more interested in seeing a shot of this place as of today. Is the lake frozen, the flora all brown and dead, the sky clear with nordic lights?

Hi Kari,
Lovely summer image with the foreground boat and tall grass making a striking reflection in the clam lake water. The background lush green islands contrast beautifully with the vibrant blue sky. This is a very peaceful image and indeed something to dream of on these long winter nights.
