One could almost hear the sound of Hurriganes from the fat loadspeakers in the car and the smell of beer, sweat and bubblegum.
we have the same phenomen in Sweden especially during midsummer.

Without knowing anything about these "classic" cars I would place this image in the 50s. Even the man walking could be from that era. Good 50s treatment on the image. It could be a photo picked out of your family archives.

Kari,
I'm totally lost in time and space. At first galnce I thought that this might be an old image of yours when you the US somwhere in the very past. Not only the B&W gave me that impression, obviously also the oldie that is so typical for the american glorious past. Even the guys sitting on the back are so classic for the James Dean time.
I was totally surprised to see that the shot was done in 2007 and in Tampere, Finland. Nice capture!

The B&W works well on the old fashioned American car, with the typical "wings" of the ends of the 50's (there were so much attraction with the jets that they wanted the cars to like like them...).

Hi Kari, impressive BW pic. I think the sun was at the direction of your theme way above that's why a slight color cast at the center. Well positioned theme, sharp details and well composed.
