Traffic to Suomenlinna cluster of islands in front of Helsinki is dense during summer months. Next ferry enters the Kauppatori quay just as the one I'm on leaves.
M/S Suokki (original name Suomenlinna-Sveaborg) was built in 1951 at the yards of Suomenlinna. She never left far of her birthplace and has served Helsinki - Suomenlinna route ever since.

1800's built empire style buildings of Kauppatori in the background. The one on the right is Presidential Palce.

Nice use of the ferry to enhance and present the waterfront of Helsinki, Kari. Nice light with this sky too. Regards, Daniel

I love the sky with that little blue window. The cupola pointing to the white cloud is also a very nice detail. You managed here a good picture with good light and nice colours. The POV is good too. Well done.

Hi Kari,
Beautiful shot of the ferry leaving port. Excellent clear colors with good sharp details to the Helsinki architecture. The story sky bring a nice bit of drama to this beauty.

Slightly stormy and with some sunrays coming through to enhance the highlights and allow for strong contrasts, also the fact you have many white structures here contributes to a luminous impression. Nice timing as well with the arriving boat.
