This is from an event called Peña-ilta.
The evenging was organized to celebrate the formation of the new flamenco association of Oulu: Palo Nuevo.
People enjoied the performance of the dancers of flameco schools and the different flamenco bands from Oulu. The party was held in Oulus tapas bar, Andalucía.
It was full of people and the atmosphere was great!
This woman is a dancer of flamenco school Amanecera.
I don't know how long she has danced but she was part of the beginners group. I really liked the show!
Oulu is "an old" flamenco city in Finland. The first lessons were held in late 1980ies by the teachers from Helsinki though the first flamenco association was founded in here. In the beginning there were only dance lessons but nowadays it is possible to learn also singing and playing (e.g. the guitar). |
