A view towards the sea from the rocky hill of Kasavuori in the village of Soukka in Espooo. The water on the right is Espoo Bay. The big island in the middle horizon is Pentala and is is the largest island in Espoo. Behind it is the open sea, Gulf of Finland.

Kasavuori hill has got its name from a Swedish name Kasaberget, which was used of high rocks where signal fires were lit to warn about an approaching enemy in old ages. The signal fire hill was part of a chain, which formed a collective alarm system along the southern coast of Finland. From this view one can understand that the hill was a good place for keeping a lookout and for a signal fire.

How I would like to sail there with my boat! Once I read a book of an American who said Finland was the best place for sailing in the world, only the weather sometime is not satisfactory...
I think you managed to depict this place in a due form: there is a fine diagonal which give a sense of perspective and open space that would be lost otherwise. The foreground is well defined and the light is rewarding.
What was meant for that alarm system? Russians?
We had an alarm system in sardinia too against african pirates.
