View from Hämeensilta bridge towards Koskipuisto park and old industrial buildings around Tammerkoski rapid.

Chimney of Frenckell (1876) is a reminder of the first paper plant in Finland. In the background, factory buildings of Finlayson on the left and Tampella on the right. Both nowadays converted to offices, shops, restaurants as well as museum space.
The hydroelectric power plant, built in 1932, is naturally still in operation.

Bonjour Kari
Un environnement urbain et industriel très bien cadré et une lumière justement exposée.Du job soigné.
Bonne journée
Cordialement
Gildas

Hei Kari,
This is an enchanting photo including the landmarks of the industrial history of Tampere in one frame. A great composition! Very pleasant light with the sun shining through the clouds. The colours are beautiful and natural. A joy to view!
Terveisin ja hyvää viikonloppua,
Lasse

Nice composition, Kari, in strange attractive quality and appropriate brick colors in different buildings and structures. The cloudy sky is attractive as background - and also in combination with the pretty light on the area of flowers and grass. Regards, Daniel.

Terve Kari,
Nice stormy light that helps this red brick glow, I like your PoV for the river curve turns around the big chimney. On my workplace we used to have a similar one but it finally was turned town for it had become a prime spot for greenpeace protests.
Have a nice day JY

Hello Kari! Back to hometown, maybe you see it with new eyes after Switzerland and discover new corners, at least that happens to me when I return but seeing the date taken it was before you left. You had an interesting position and the curve adds harmony to the picture. I like factory buildings, I always have, and the sky was "friendly" to you and I find it underlines the dark side of industrialization but lucky now it is a place to relax. The weekend is near ... Barbara.

Hi Kari,
great composition! A very clear and clean photo, really impressive. I like the dominating brown of the bricks, that contrasts very well with the grass, and also fits perfectly to the grey and absolutely colourless sky. Great harmony, shows that industry has its own esthetics!
Regards, Johannes

Hello Kari
An urban environment and industry very well framed and light precisely exposee.
The cloudy sky is attractive as backgroun.
Regards
Marc

The after-the-rain light is illuminating the scene nicely and you have some wonderfully dramatic clouds showing more rain is probably still to come. The tall chimney gave you a good reason to show so much of the sky.
Well done
Kath

Hi Kari a fascinating capture of this very well maintanied old industrial complex. The pre or post heavy weather light indeed makes it shine and your compo with the right alignment of all the red brick lines and curves makes it also very graphically pleasing.
Have a fine weekend,
Bert

Hi Kari,
great capture of these industrial buildings! It reminded me that I still proudly possess a lot of Finlayson textiles that are at least 30 years old!
Your management of the light is excellent and I like the grey clouds as a contrast to the red bricks very much. TfS!
Warm regards
Harriet

Hei Kari,
I like this view with those old factory buildings and that dramatic sky.
Really good composition and POV.
Well done!

Terveisin,
Eino

Kari,
A charming cityscape - semi industrial - composition.

Strange to describe the shot as "well balanced" - with a gigantic chimney rising on one side, but that's just what it is, amd it works very well.
Probably needed the interesting sky to fill the void.

Hello Kari--Everything looks so neat, well-organized and well-scrubbed here, it's almost like a toy city, except for the slightly menacing clouds. Good job (in PP, I presume) making the clouds have a natural degree of darkness relative to the landscape--generally that can require some good Photoshop skills. Regards, Ken.

Hello Kari,
I like this view, too... it reminded me of the area around The Museum of Work in Norrköping in Sweden. I like the "brick" colours of the industrial buildings in the photo (such a colour sometimes conveys a bit gloomy mood) and the low grey clouds in the sky. The bright elements are the red flowers which look very nice and brighten the landscape despite the cloudy day:)
kind regards,
Elena
