Bonjour
Promenade dans arbois. J'ai bien aimé cette lumière alors j'ai fais 2 photos. La 2° est en WS. Dites moi laquelle vous préférez.

Salut Jean Marc,
je vois bien pourquoi tu as pris l'image, la lumière à gauche sur le mur, hein ?
Ok mais c'est trop crue et sans VA, qui plus est sans note. Le rendu sur les volets étant intéressant, je pense qu'un zoom sur cette partie aurait été excellent, voir avec un travail en Post prod pour viellir tout ça.

Hello Jeanmarc,
I understand what you were trying to show with the light reflecting on the facades of these buildings but trully the right side of the photo gets too dark so IMO either you crop it or your try to clear it up a bit. For the left side of the rodad this would be OK but honnestly the right side of this one doesn't work for me.
I tried a WS on which I expected to do not change too much the mood you were expecting to get on the left side of the road and tried to light up a bit of the right side.
Tell me what you think.

La raison de la présence d'ombre trop sombres c'est le grand écart de luminosité avec les hautes lumières; même l'appareil le plus sophistiqué n'aurait pas pu en venir à bout.
Tu as fait un 2ème en ajoutant +1 ou 2 EV, ce qui a naturellement surexposé les parties claires.
En sélectionnant les parties à l'ombre à l'aide du lasso magnétique il est possible après d'éclaircir sans toucher au parties éclairées.
Le WS de Paolo est correctement effectué.

Hi Jeanmarc. I like the view but as others have shown it needs a little more light in the shadows and less in the sky. Although shadow/highlights has been used in Glem's WS, it is rather a quick-fix tool. A better result can be obtained by using curves first. Another alternative is select the sky for darkening then inverse the selection to lighten the shadowed area. Paulo's suggestion of cropping has merit and shows the important (and more easily adjusted) side of the street.

I would have to go with the WS photo as it brings out more detail although my heart goes with the natural look for that is basically how it would be seen at that time of day.
Although, having said that, I do like the light and the shadows your TE post.
