Gold beach in Arromanches In Normandy. Hard to believe the inferno this place has witnessed when you go there on such a clam day...

An artificial harbour was buit there, after the D-day. The things in the water are the remains of this ginormous structure.

c'est vrai que vu xomme ça tout a l'air calme.. idem quand tu passes à verdun où meme les tranchées n'existent plus maintenant, ou dans les camps de la mort nazis ou peu de choses restent... L'horreur peut s'inserer partout et pas forcement là où on l'attendrait..

I like the soft colours and the desolate landscape with the little tiny person walking on the beach. gives a good measurement of the place. very nice photo !!

I also like the fading, desaturated colours, the wide angle aspect of this image and that kind of glare on the beach sand...pretty...cheers, arturo

Quel minimaliste, c'est vraiement jolie en fait, la compo est soignee et j'aime bien ce traitement qui accentue la solitude..plus simple tu meurs en fait !
