This photo is taken from the top of the spectacularly high Gatteville Lighthouse (Phare de Gatteville) on the Pointe de Barfluer, on the northeast corner of the Cherbourg Peninsular. You can see the shadow falling across the original 18th century lighthouse on the right. The current lighthouse (the one from which this photo is taken) was completed in 1834.

Hi Matt
Impresive view from this lighthouse. The composition is good with beautiful colors in the sea and on the rocks. It is a pity that the other tower was exactly in the shadow of the light house but we can't choose the sun position... :-) Good job.
