This is a great shot. The colour is fantastic and the crop is nice and intense. The golden colour of the shutters is particularly attractive. Good use of the shadows and the abstract and graphic nature of the shot delivers impact. Well done.

I suppose one of the reason why it was quiet must be in a fact that people were still sleeping behind these windows - look, it says: "ZZZ..." on them!

Okay, that was a little joke, but I like your today's post because of the contrast between th ewhite facade and dark yellow window shutters. Besides, there's a graphical quality to it with so many horizontal & vertical lines. Different patterns given by white stones and bricks complement the whole visual experience.
Well noticed side-light to create shadows and give some extra relief to the capture.

Superbe composition ! Le point de vue choisi et le cadrage serré offrent une très belle originalité à cette photo. La lumière est tres bien captée ce qui permet d'obtenir des couleurs profondes et chaudes, des contrastes saisissants et un très bon jeu d'ombres révélant tous les détails de cette façade. Bravo !

Stephane, le jaune sur le blanc c'est fait pour nous réchauffer. Les couleurs envahissent de plus en plus les villes et c'est tant mieux. Belle réalisation qui privilégie le graphisme par un cadrage serré.

Hello Stephane,
très sympa ces fenêtres avec ces volets jaunes et le mur en pierre est aussi très esthétique.
Par contre pour la compo, je trouve que le mur différent à droite dérange un poil, je crois que je l'aurais enlevé.

Lovely bright colours which indeed reminds of the summer.
Still I think there is some disbalance in composition. The lower windows don’t match with the lower part, but maybe it’s the ugly plaster that disturbs me.

Hi Stephane - fantastic details and colors, excellent light, when I saw the thumbnail I thought it was from Pays Basque, similar windows, but of course they would be red and green.
