The Spirit of American Youth Rising From the Waves, bronze statue at the American Cemetery, Omaha Beach, France.

Difficult to make the correct impression with words, you really must go there yourself.

I used my little Sony for this picture. All I had to do was correct for overexposure. The back of the statue was the only picture that was practical to take, as the statue faced east and it was just a little after noon so the sun was pretty direct. I tried the others, but no.

I visited this cemetery on August the last year.
It is a good composition with an ideal focus.
