[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This windmill is located on the Top of the hill of 44 meters height and about 5 km of the Mont Saint Michel.

Built in 1806, the Mill was exploited until the beginning of the 20th century, then was used as a hayloft until the end of the second world war, before being abandoned…

Well restored in 2003, it produces flour like in the past, thanks to its wood mechanism and its stones.

Among the 5 windmills dating from the same time and still visible in the region, it is the only one to be in activity.

hello Oleg,
I like this photo a lot, especially how the rays of light create strong diagonal lines and seem to point to the beautiful old windmill. the textures are great, and I quite like this version of "colour", the monochrome image certainly focuses attention on shapes and patterns. very nice work, my compliments.

best,
Kristine

Hello Oleg,

This is a very nice B&W picture. The composition is perfect (the eye follows rocks to go to the windmill) and the light seems to fall right on the windmill. The sky is beautiful too.

Stephane

Your choice of B/W works great in your shot Oleg , fantastic composition and light management too , the sunrays are well captured , compliments.
Stefano.

Don Quijote!!! I like the ground texture and oh those sun rays! Very poetic!:

" ?"Miente", delante de mi, ruin villano? dijo don quijote. Por el sol que nos alumbra, que estoy por pasaros de parte a parte con esta lanza. Pagadle luego sin mas replica; si no, por el dios que nos rige, que os concluya y aniquile en este punto. Destadlo luego." excerpt from Don Quijote (Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra).
