Eglise Saint Martin, a photo from Ile-de-France, Nord

Photographer's Note

L’église Saint-Martin, dispose d’une cloche en bronze. Elle porte les inscriptions « Jean Fremort, entrepreneur dans les batiments du Roi et Françoise Golbert ». Marque des fondeurs et date : Jean Capitain et Louis Lorguilleux fecit en 1732. L’église et sa cloche sont chacune enregistrées comme monuments historiques.
Avant la construction de l’église proprement dite, se trouvait une tour dont la base remonte au XIe siècle. C’était une tour de gué pour avertir des invasions.

Hello Philippe,
Tight framing has enabled you to use the strong geometric lines offered by the architecture to great effect. The blue sky makes a great backdrop for the honey coloured stone with its mottling. Excellent technical realisation.

Good to include the tree and its pink flowers on right side.

Bonjour Philippe,

La cloche à l'intérieur du clocher a toute une histoire. La prise de vue permet de voir les détails du clocher de l'église Saint-Martin. La bonne luminosité donne de belles teintes aux couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.

This is a perfect picture. A well-chosen close-up with one side of the church in the shadow and one side in the sunshine. Beautiful blue sky and the colours of the flowers of a lilac tree in front.

Bonjour Philippe,

Je suis très surpris par ce cadrage très serré sur le clocher qui semble atrophié par le manque de fonds de la paroisse pour aller plus haut. Par contre on apprécie les belles textures.

Hello Philippe,

A good close up of the turret part of this charming stone church. The purple flowers at right add a welcome splash of colour. I like the angled pov on the pyramid shaped roof. Tfs!
