Photographer's Note
Montmartre, as seen from the top of the Basilica of the Sacré Cœur. The name Mons Martis ("Mount of Mars" in Latin) survived into Merovingian times, Christianised as Montmartre, signifying 'mountain of the martyr'; it owes this name to the martyrdom of Saint Denis, who was decapitated on the hill around 250 AD. Saint Denis was the Bishop of Paris and is the patron saint of France.

Hi Will,
I like your pic, espacially the unusual POV. The city seems to be a toy, or some kind of maquette because it is slightly oversatured.
By the way the notes are also really interesting!
Thx!
