Shot was taken during a festival where Napoleon takes a leading roll. Can't remember the name of it. This year they reconstruct the battle of waterloo!! All armies with authentical arms were there. English, Dutch, German and ofcourse France.
These groups are amatures who come together 2 or 3 times a year and will play a battle as it was in the 1800s. Durin this festivals, people live like people in the 1800's. Sleep in solder tents, stand gard at night, no phone or other electricity.
This shot was "fingers crossed". You never know when the commander shouts fire. He can rise his sword more then 10 minutes before giving the signal to fire. It should have been in sepia or at least b/w but ran out of it at that time.

Good capture of re-enactors in action. The image is slightly out of focus and a tripod, monopod, or some other device would have helped keep the camera steady. Must have been a lot of fun taking pictures on the battle field.
Thanks for sharing and keep shooting.
