Photographer's Note

''This hamlet clinging to the banks of a river valley is a typical Thiérache village. As is often the case in this region, the church which is accessed by a portal located in a neighboring house, was fortified to protect the inhabitants of a possible attack. It is provided with a square tower turret that could be barricaded at the slightest alarm. Today, nothing disturbs the bucolic peace that reigns in this place, and it is in peace that one can savor the charm of its houses and its farms where the cob and thatch replaced here and there the brick and slate, as well as that of its gardens, under the impassive gaze of the cows and ducks.''
