[Ligne directrice - Note] Note du photographe
This island is the heart of the city, wich was created by the river Sena, in this island was build the church of Notre Dame. Here is a little of history about this special place:
Proceeded by a Gallo-Roman temple to Jupiter, a Christian basilica, and a Romanesque church, construction of Notre-Dame de Paris began in 1163 during the reign of Louis VII. Pope Alexander III laid the foundation stone. The idea to replace the Romanesque church occupying the site - the Cathedral of St. Etienne (founded by Childebert in 528) - was that of Bishop Maurice de Sully (who died in 1196). (Some accounts claim that there were two churches existing on the site, one to the Virgin Mary, the other to St. Stephen.) Construction was completed roughly 200 years later in about 1345.

Lutecia was the original name of the city of Paris during the Roman period. In that picture, you see in fact the Saint Louis Island. Notre Dame is on the "Cité" island which is just behind when we look at your picture.
Anyway, it's a good composition of Paris with a typical parisian weather and your note is good. Well done, Elias!

Very well scene Elias. A nice view of Paris that is seldom shown. Good composition.

Hola Elías,
Estaba mirando tu fotografía y la imaginaba con un tono más....antígua, así que no he podido resistir la tentación, y he hecho un WS, espero que no te importe y te complazca el resultado.

Un saludo

Felip
