Photographer’s Note

Un souvenir,un Christ crucifié, capturé sur une tombe en pleine nature près de Saint Laurent du Maroni en Guyane française. Il n'y avait que quelques sépultures sous de grands arbres, le repos éternel pour ces probables anciens orpailleurs. J'ai choisi cette image pour partager avec vous tous amis de la photographie mais aussi amis sur TE et vous souhaiter un joyeux Noël et de belles fêtes de fin d'année. Amitié à tous./jr

Salut Jean Richard, tres bonne utilisation de la profondeur de champ et cadrage tres serre pour un niveau de detail maximum.

JR j'adore cette photo!! elle est subtile et forte! peut etre dommage que tu aies coupé la main à gauche de la photo mais cela m'enleve rien à sa beauté.. Bravo!!

Good depth of field and nice textures on this crucifix. This really does show its age. I like the bit of grass hanging on it. It adds to the feel of a long forgotten tomb. It seems so sad and alone but still very powerful. Perhaps even more powerful because of its current condition. Perhaps a portrait format might have suited it more, I'm thinking. But then with this landscape you get it nicely just slightly off center capturing an embracing feel almost with his arms. Very nicely spotted out and photographed, Jean Richard. And I hope you had a pleasant Christmas and wish you a happy New Year.
