Photographer’s Note
This is the old chapel in Devil's Island. It is used mostly by the prison officers and their families. Now the tourists who stays in the island use it.
The end of Devil's Island was in 1938. The French government stopped sending prisoners to Devil's Island, and in 1946 the prison closed permanently. Most of the prisoners returned to France, although some chose to remain in French Guiana.
It is a nice Bed and Breakfast place if you seek peace and quiet. There are no TV and telephones and no cell phone signals. It is popular to the French who are travelling by boat.

Hi Andre,
Well, I think I will pass on the B&B here - what a grisly past this place has as a prison...Well composed with good lighting. I like how you have framed this with the tree. The people enhance. Have a good weekend.

I think the central composition works well with this church since it provides good symmetry. The branches frame it well. Good natural colours too.
Best wishes
Mark
