Photographer’s Note
This is the isolation chamber. It is slowly being taken over by nature. The walls are made of local stones that have strong reddish and yellowish color. The door is made of steel frames and cladded on both sides with steel plates. A small opening on top of the door with heavy security grille is the only air and light vent. There are several of this isolation cell scattered throughout the island. The size inside is approximately five feet by seven feet and the height is six feet at the bottom of the arched roof. There is a steel grille bed anchored to concrete inside. There is no plumbing fixtures.

Very cool picture and note, perhaps made better if the person was cropped out, unless you were using them for perspective. Carie

Hi Andre,
this is NOT a nice holiday shot...but a very strong one: the person on this picture is in stark contrast with this scary piece of architecture...and so it makes it better, in my opinion.
Thanks for sharing

Hallo André!
What men did (and do) to men ... incredible! But I think there are still today regimes, which stop at nothing. An impressing and an important photo! Thank you for showing this!
Greetings from Germany!
Frank
