Photographer’s Note
This is a photograph of an old boat lift that is no longer being used. The boats are not left on the rough shoreline. The banks of this island is full of rocks and boats could be smashed into it. Our ship could be seen beyond. We had to use ship tenders to get to the island.

Hi Andre, this is a sharp shot of an interesting-looking contraption. Good juxtaposition of the old and the modern, with the passenger liner in the background. Well done on composing a pleasing image.

The contrast fore-background is excellent by colors (brown-blue) and light(dark sharp contrastes-light fading OOF), the sky a tiny bit white overexposed, a stop less to avoid or two layers editing of there is data in the white area. A pleasant impressive shot on the hole looking at it open minded(no rules). A good creative idea Andre, the danger an eye-puller.
Warm greetings from Henk
