Photographer’s Note
This is the old lighthouse. It is no longer in use. It stands beside one of the old prison building. It's door faces the old marching or parade ground where I am standing when I took this picture. The old parade ground, now has a concrete pad serving as helipad. If you have read the book Papillon or have seen the movie, this island will be more interesting to you.

Is that an older movie with Dustin Hoffman?
Interesting lighthouse and detail of the old prison building now covered in ivy.

This lighthouse is very well capture, and very well framed. I like the pale red tower against the blue sky, besudes the old building. Have a nice weekend.

Hi Andre,
Yes, I have indeed read Papillon, and this is fascinating to me. The lighthouse has an unusual design and could tell many stories. You have framed this nicely with the slice of foreground grass, and the vertical format works well in achieving good depth. Well captured, Andre. I like this series.
