Photographer’s Note
The village of La Palud-sur-Verdon is situated at the entrance of the Gorges du Verdon, the largest limestone gorge in Europe. I visited the area at the beginning of June to do some walking. Unfortunately rainfall over many weeks meant that the low path through the gorge was out of bounds as the river was very strong and there was the possibility that more water would have to be released higher up making it impassable. We did manage a half day walk through the gorge via a path near the top.

Hi Chris,
You fixed an amazing POV, targeted to upper part of house. Fantastic contrasts with old and new windows wings with great ornaments of old type terracotta roof tiles, facade textures, but street lamp, cloudy sky adds great value too. Well balanced with very good clarity in natural colors and sharpness. Congratulations.
Best Regards,
Ertugrul

Hi Chris,
Very simple and effective composition. Good colors and lighting. A pity that you didn't get good weather for hiking. I was in the area in late September 2005 and was blessed with fine weather. But I missed the lavender season. Regards. Latiff.
