Photographer's Note

Another piece of Art of the roman architecture with this view of the cloister of the Montmajour abbey in Provence near Arles.

A benedictin abbey was founded there in 948 but the Notre-Dame abbatial church we can contemplate today was built in the 12th century. The church and the various monk's buildings were classified as world heritage by UNESCO.

For my part, I do love this kind of angles in cloisters. Stones do reflect raylights with incredible colors.

For additional pictures of cloisters, please have a look at the Valmagne one.
