Photographer's Note

A pedestrian bridge is one of the links from the more modern side of Lyon to Vieux (old) Lyon. The view, however, as you walk across isn't of ancient buildings. It is dominated by the Palais de Justice (court house)which was built in the mid 19th century and a "modern" basilica (La Basilique Notre Dame de Fourviere) which was built in the late 19th century.
The real Vieux Lyon with its 15th and 16th century buildings stretches of along narrow streets behind the courthouse.
