Seen in Bergerac old town.

Bergerac is a commune and a sub-prefecture of the Dordogne department in south-western France. With a population of 27,555 in 2008 it is located on the Dordogne river 48 kilometres south-west of the departmental prefecture of Périgueux and 129 kilometres north-east of the city of Bordeaux.

The area surrounding the town is noted for the production of tobacco and wine. There are in fact some 12,600 hectares devoted to the production of wine resulting in an annual production of around 560,000 hectolitres. It has 13 recognized wine AOCs (Appellations d'origine contrôlée).

The town contains two statues of Cyrano de Bergerac, subject of a famous play of the same name by Edmond Rostand, though the actual Cyrano never lived in Bergerac.
