Narrow street, a photo from Aquitaine, Ouest

Photographer's Note

I had to do some shopping downtown, but the weather forecast was poor. So I didn't take my camera with me. As the suns shows, I decided to take my Iphone to take a few scenes. It's hard because it takes 3 to 5 seconds to reccord the scene and so the moving people are not at the same place, you don't know if you have taken the image. A lots of "s**t!" in my mind but I could get some pictures with the hard contrast between the lighted areas and the shade.

J'aime beaucoup le format de l'image. Il donne l'impression que le bâtiment écrase l'homme en silhouette dans la rue. Très bonne idée et très réussi comme composition.

Salut Claude,la meteo n'etait pas mauvaise au contraire des previsions,dommage que tu n'avais pas ta camera,mais le resultat est toujours excellent malgre les nombreuses "m***e" que tu as dit...ahahaha....vraiment bien fait,un "bookmark" geometrique tres bien joue' avec les lumieres,excellente version en noir et blanc bien contrastee' dans le WS. Whenever I decide not to take my camera with me, I regret it! Luckily, modern cellphones offer good possibilities, even if they are annoyingly slow, when comes to photography. You observed this scene very well and the result is also good.

A fine artistic approach you gave to the scene in the narrow street, Claude.
Light and shadows contrast, good scale with the lone figure and view from street level up.

i'm always a fan of these shots where the light is striking the exteriors, and the rest is in shade...and to have the man standing there is a total bonus too. lots to like here.
