Photographer's Note

Locronan is a town built of uniformly dark granite. Despite not being right on the coast it was a prosperous sail making town with the houses around the main square being the homes of the merchants. It would look more medieval if the cars weren't there but these days Locronan is quite a popular tourist destination although it is pretty quiet in this photo due to cold and wet weather.
