Photographer’s Note
Roscoff in Brittany has an extremely large tidal range, and the sea recedes a long way at low tide,
All the boats in this part of the harbour have to be able to cope with resting on the mud.
Apart from being a busy ferry port, there are still active fishing boats here.

Hello Peter,
A nice composition of this harbour with no water. I like the boats dotted about and the tones in the mud and harbour wall. Pity the sky was not more inspiring, but there you go!

Hi Peter,
Quite an interesting photo. Normally you would think the sea looks better with water, but even without water it looks nice. The red boat in the middle adds a lot to the composition. This looks just like it did in Erquy, where we spent some summers. One could walk on the sand at low tide and pick a lot of cockles (or whatever they are called). There were also a lot of wild oysters on the rocks you could pick and eat instantly fresh.
Regards
Gunnar
