Le Couesnon hésite Photo

Photographer’s Note

Le Couesnon trace la limite entre deux regions la Normandie et la Bretagne. Il atteint la mer au Mont-Saint-Michel d'ou est prise la photo.

Il y a des decennies, le Couesnon se jetait au nord du mont, faisant du Mont une ville bretonne. It se jette desormais au sud du Mont (et la photo montre qu'il semble hesiter), en faisant une ville normande, au grand dam des bretons.

The problem with this picture is that the river disappears when it is most needed, namely in the foreground. Instead of a great shot of a river, you have some river, plus a mudbank, and IMHO that ruins it as a photo. Your note still makes it interesting, however.

Nicolas c'est une bonne photo qui fait courrir le cours d'eau comme il convient.
Très bonne image, réelle.

I like the composition and the framing.Good colors and good contrast between them.Great textures and light.I like the prespective and the POV.

I think the photo looses interest in the foreground. Tilting it upwards would make it loose interest in the upper area (too much sky). It's a nice scenery but very dificult to frame. Perhaps with a telelens one could have approached the river and drop the surrounding uninsteresting areas.
