Photographer’s Note

Au sud de la Martinique, la Savane des Pétrifications.
Un lieu étrange et désertique fait de rochers, de falaises où les vagues se brisent et de quelques cactus ... l'intense activité hydrothermale a pétrifié au cours des temps la végétation présente auparavant.

Bonsoir, cher Jean,
La mer joue un rôle de sculpteur des roches, sans relâche les vagues viennent frapper sans ménagement la pierre, l'érode et la transforme en des formes étonnantes.
La beauté des vagues écumantes roulant vers la grève est manifeste. Une très belle composition.

Intéressante image qui nous montre un endroit désertique de la Martinique. J'aime le dynamisme des vagues venant se fracasser sur les rochers.

This is a nicely composed shot with the splashing water on one side of the frame with the sea on the other. The lighting and colors are great with nice sharpness and DOF.

Interesting to see the salt tolerant prickly pear in the fg. Good warm cold colour contrasts, between the red & blue, excellent sharpness, & a good decisive moment on the breaking wave. Merci et bon weekend!

Hello Jean,

La vague est saisie au bon moment et donne une image très dynamique. En plus, ce ciel tropical donne une ambiance menaçante sur le sol. Etonnant décor.

Fresh to see cactus growing near to sea, good pov to show geographical feature with flat rocky coast no so much higher than the sea surface, which different with typical high cliff or beach, distinct color, good sharpness, well done.

Bonjour,
It is a very nice landscape and scenery. Good light and beautiful cloud, the energy of the ocean is nicely depicted. and the bare landscape, do seem like being petrified, but I have never heard of it. Beautiful composition and good quality image.

Force of nature is always very impressive when you can stop and present it on an image. In this case, it is the rocks that is slowly worn out by the strong waves.

And you present it well here with good color and strong contrast of the bright light at this beach scenery. A nice composition and good depth.

Bonjour Jean,

La capture de la puissance de la mer est un atout à la composition. La prise de vue dirige notre regard vers les montagnes en arrière-plan ce qui donne de la profondeur à la photo. L'image est claire et nette. la luminosité rehausse les différentes teintes de couleurs de l'image. Bonne journée.
